Sunday

Hi everyone!! (Especially you, Danielle)

Today is Sunday. We'll post some pics later, but I wanted to write a quick note to let you know what's up. Yesterday we did some great riding, we saw Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. We also rode through Custer State Park and the Black Hills National Forest. Amazing views. We saw an entire herd of buffalo!! I've never seen anything like it. We've got good pics of that, too. On the way back to camp, we went to Deadwood for dinner. It was really interesting, but slightly disappointing since every historical place was actually a casino. Also, there was either fine dining or "get your own" burgers and fries. No casual dining. Darn, I had to eat fried foods. Also, everyone smokes in restaurants here. Yuck.

Today, we have a few bike issues. Mark needs to replace his ignition switch, and it seems like I might have a small electrical issue. We're getting a late start (which I'm sure is driving my dad nuts since he's always moving) but this morning was freezing cold, raining, with 30 mph winds. Now it's sunny and warmer, but still a little windy. The whole place has cleared out since the rally really ended yesterday. What that means to us is that we'll be able to see the sights and do some riding without all the traffic.

Pics later, and peace to you all.

Danielle,

Grammy told me about your bad dream. Sorry I wasn't there, but don't you worry. It will never happen, I promise. You're my one and only. I love you whole bunches. I called you a little while ago, and I'll call you again later. Miss you much. Wait til you see these pictures of the buffalo. We had to be careful, though. There was a big sign that said "Be careful. Buffalo are dangerous." Needless to say, I did not approach any buffalo to pet them. The babies were cute, but the big ones were not. I'm very excited about your trip to Six Flags. Are you going Monday or Tuesday? Your message about the ice cream social made me really want some cookie dough ice cream. Maybe I can find some in town. This place is very dry and the weather changes more than it does at home. Hope to talk to you in a little while and I can't wait to see you again. I like it on vacation, but it will be nice to be home with you. We'll go to the lake a lot, and maybe the beach again, too.
I love you,
Mommy

Mommy-
In response to your question, we will be going to six flags on Tuesday because there will be thunderstorms on Monday. I cannot get a hold of Kaylee. I need to to call her to tell her we are going on Tuesday and so that we can set up departure time and the whole sleepover thing. Good bye
