Day One

Hi everyone!!! (Hi Danielle!!)

End of Day One. We experienced all sorts of weather from beautiful, to cloudy, to windy, and finally, to pouring rain. No worse for the wear, we are spending the night in Clarion, PA, about 75 miles from the Ohio border. We'll get an early start tomorrow and I will post our pics from today and tomorrow at the end of the day. Today we spent all our time on the interstate, I found out that I get about 120 miles per tank of fuel, so we stop about every two hours. Mark and I love our new rainsuits (thanks Bert), and we were lucky to have them. Except when the bootie of my rainsuit got caught on my footpeg and my bike and I fell over at the gas station. Little embarrassing, but only bent my clutch lever. Phew.

Had to stop so Mark could fix my bike before we even got out of CT because my new foot peg on the right needed tightening. By the way....Mark and my Dad are the best people to ride with. I ride in front, and sometimes it's Dad, then Mark, or the other way around. I have no idea why they pick the directions-challenged person to lead, but hopefully I won't get us too lost.

Danielle, I hope you had fun at the flea market with Grammy. I love you WAY BIG!! You're the best ever. I'll call you tomorrow. I fixed your signing-on problem. I verified the email address with Google, so you should have no problem signing on to the blog from now on. We expect lots of messages, so check the blog often. Kiss the dogs for me and tell them I miss them. I miss you the absolute most. :)

I miss you guys SO much! When I was at the flea market, I did NOT buy a lot of junk. Sorry Mommy. But I did buy some tennis balls for the dogs. Which is a good thing because we will be seeing them today. I love you Mommy, Mark, and Grampa. p.s I am sorry that you guys had some bad weather. Well, at least you got to use your new rain gear.
